My trip up north with Jason and my brother was definitely worth it though. It was nice to rekindle the romance between us since that's where we met -walking on old streets, revisiting favorite haunts as well as seeing the changes in both our surroundings and ourselves. It was nice just to appreciate the present while fondly remembering the past.
I didn't start formal exercise until later on in the week after I caught up on sleep and ate normal meals. This week's weigh in showed maintenance which is fine with me. I'm going to slowly up my exercise though.
I have to adjust to the weather changes around Florida. It's starting to feel too hot so I might have to start running before the boys wake up in the morning again just when the sun is rising. This means green smoothies are going to start again so I have some fuel before my run. I'll follow it up with a post-workout breakfast consisting of a piece of toast, hummus, baby spinach and an egg. That's the plan I followed last summer when Jason and I were on a couple's Bringing Sexy Back operation. It's literally what I named our spreadsheet that we filled out every week post weigh-in.
On Sunday, Jason asked if I wanted to jog to our local park to play a little basketball. I'm terrible at the game but I wanted to keep him company. I was more of a ball retriever and he did made the shots. I thought of it as a "beep test" from my old PE days where you sprint short distances back and forth.
Before we got home, I made sure to take advantage of the swing set. There were giant puddles everywhere because of the massive amount of rain we got last weekend so it was interesting avoiding that....
