Back from our weekend getaway!

Last weekend, we flew up to PA to attend my sorority's 20 year reunion. It was great to see everyone as well as revisit old stomping grounds with Jason. We met in college so we wanted to enjoy every minute there reliving our past. Sorority events didn't start until Friday evening when everyone arrived so we arrived the day before.

We spent all day Friday eating at our favorite restaurants, walking around campus and taking photos. I wanted to take some casual engagement shots since we had our formal ones done in Taipei. Our photographer was my brother. His payment was our famous university ice cream at the Creamery.

I made my parents send me some old photographs of my brother when he visited me on campus in 2008. He's grown up so much in the last few years!

Then again, he's not the only one who looks a little different. This is what I looked like when he visited me in the winter of 2008.

Here are a few outfits I wore last weekend.

My sister also came from NYC to attend our sorority's festivities so it was great for the siblings to all be together. My sister hasn't seen my brother since December but she noticed his growth.

I had a blast seeing my sorority sisters and meeting the new sisters. It was a huge reunion where I saw people I haven't seen in several years. It's nice that social media keeps us somewhat connected but there's nothing like face-to-face interaction and hugging (lots and lots of hugging and squealing).

While we were together, my sister and I shot scenes for our new vlog series called Changuages. I'd love it if you guys took the time to subscribe and leave comments. It'll be a bi-weekly vlog. We'll try to shoot together when we can but there will also be solo vlogs.

As you can see, I'm a complete noob when it comes to looking at the camera and having a normal resting face when my sister is talking. I'm literally looking into space with my mouth gaping open. Let's hope I get the hang of this vlog thing soon so the freeze frames won't be so ridiculous.

Now that I'm back, I jumped on the scale this morning to see the damage I did. I was surprised to see that I'm about 2.5 lbs down from last Tuesday. I did resume running the last two weeks at least 4 times a week. I enjoyed myself this weekend but I was careful to be mindful of portion sizes.

I stocked our hotel room with bottled water so I made sure to stay hydrated all weekend. I don't normally drink so I was careful with alcohol last weekend. I had 1 mixed drink Thursday night, about 3 drinks Friday (1 cider and 2 shots), and 1 drink Saturday. I did have a slight headache Sunday morning but I think that was due to lack of sleep all week.

The next few weeks will be all about the detoxing since we have a wedding to attend mid May. Until then, we'll be clean eating and exercising.

  1. Looks like such a fun weekend, Grace! I love that it only cost an ice cream cone for those photos ;)

  2. oh my God. You're sister is freaking hilarious! #GoTeamDiarrhea! lol

Thanks for stopping by! I'd love to hear your thoughts and comments.
