Adjusting

Is it odd that it's taking a while to refer to my significant other as my fiance?

Both Jason and I are having this problem where we have to correct ourselves in conversations as well as correspondence.

I'm thinking it's something that I just need to keep on saying over and over again in daily talk like good morning fiance...hello fiance..... good night fiance.... just brainwash myself and hopefully not annoy the begeezus out of the people around me.

Another thing I'm going to do this year is start having an accent nail when I paint my nails every week. My ring finger will hereby be (at least until my wedding) painted a different color than the rest.

I know accent nails are not new but in this case, at least when I'm not wearing my ring I'll see the ring finger and be reminded of the recent status change.

This week's colors are metallic silver (Nicole by OPI) and glittery black (OPI).

p.s. some people were asking about a photo of the ring and here's one!

The last two weeks I haven't gone outside for a run. I've opted to do indoor workouts with videos, weighted hula hoop and yoga mat. It's actually amazing what a great workout I can get inside the house without stepping outside. I've weighed in and recorded my weight every week since I've been back from Taiwan. I have to admit I sneak a peek mid-week just to see where I am at.

I've consistently been losing a little over a pound every week. I do the pinch test and it seems that everything is going back to normal.

(FYI - the pinch test is when I pinch different areas of my body to see what's going on and where I should focus on tightening) - definitely not an exact science LOL!

I've resumed daily squat challenges as well as daily core exercises. Cleaning last week prior to Chinese New Year was a great unofficial way to get in physical activity.

I can't believe Valentine's Day is next week!

I want to make a lovely dinner at home but haven't yet begun menu planning.
Do you guys have Valentine's Day plans?

One of the things I want to do together is watch a romantic comedy together. Jason hasn't seen a rom-com in years! I'm wondering if we should watch one of my favorites or watch one we haven't seen before. I'm leaning toward the first option since it would absolutely terrible if we watch something for the first time and hate it!

What is your favorite romantic comedy?

As you can tell, this post is all over the place much like my mind recently.

Jason likes to constantly remind me that, "Everything will work out."

I just need to take a moment and breathe.

So my sister sent me an 'awww photo' yesterday

(self-explanatory but it's a photo that makes you go...AWWWWwwwwwwwwwwwWWWWWWWWWWWWW)

Baby Tapir!

Yes..this blog post is just plain random today! :)

I promise I'll be posting more frequently with a new recipes and more themed-based posts! Random posts happen when I've been out of the habit of blogging normally. This post is a clear indication of that!

Have a lovely weekend everyone! My Saturday plans include two wedding venue viewings in the morning and then community service with the boys all afternoon.

  2. Very pretty ring! It's looks beautiful on your hand. Maybe it's been hard adjusting to the word "fiancé" because you've been together for so long and have known for a while that you'd marry each other, so you didn't want to be presumptuous with the word "fiancé." But now that it's here, embrace it! And don't worry about what other people think if you feel like you have to overuse the word for a while. This is a very special time in your life -- embrace it!
