No backsies!

I announced on twitter last night that I would be going for an outdoor run in the morning. I haven't gone for a long run in a little over a week. Instead, I've been doing indoor workouts with my yoga mat and elliptical. My shin felt "off" to me so I wanted to give my legs some much needed rest from running.

This morning's weather was perfect for a run: sunny, cool and breezy. I'm trying to relish this cool weather as long as possible because once the Florida heat hits, I know I'll regret not taking advantage of this wonderful weather.

I managed a little over 4.8 mile run at in under 47 minutes before heading home to tackle on the rest of the day.

Breakfast for the us this morning consisted of chocolate chip oat pancakes topped with fresh strawberries.

I also packed lunches this morning using the pita bread I baked yesterday (my recipe found here) that I had left whole. I made a tiny sliver in the bread to form a large pocket. I stuffed it with leftover chicken and kale mixed with shredded cheese.

I pressed it in our sandwich press and cut in half before packing it in our lunch boxes.

Delish!

I hope you guys all have a wonderful Wednesday!

If you are in the northeast, bundle up for the "snowquester". I'll be heading to NYC next Tuesday with my brother so I'm hoping that we pack a bit of sunshine from Florida and bring it up north.

Until next time .... :)

That is such a pretty lake to run around. In my neck of the woods there isn't that much greenery.
Good job on keeping your word to run outside! No backsies here!

Great run! I went on one last night around 7:30p and it was the perfect temp!
Thank you sooo much for the pita recipe. I would love to give these a go and maybe add some spice to them, like garlic or cinnamon :)
