Morning bliss

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

When I have a hectic schedule, I actually feel more motivated to pump out a good workout. I think I'm searching for that adrenaline and endorphin rush to get me through the day. Post-workout highs are always very productive for me (not to mention keeps my appetite in check).

Yesterday, my workout was indoors and I was happy to see that it was raining heavily at night. It was Mother Nature's way of encouraging me to head out for a run this morning.

I'm taking advantage of the cooler weather for the next few days by running outdoors at least two more times before the week is out.

The clouds this morning indicated it would be rainy throughout the day. Thankfully it was just cool and cloudy when I was out.

T.S. Eliot's Poem - The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock
came to mind when I saw the ripples in the pond today.

"Do I dare
Disturb the universe?
In a minute there is time
For decisions and revisions which a minute will reverse. "

I managed a 6.6 mile run around 64-65 minutes give or take.

I was nice and sweaty by the time my run was completed ready to tackle on the rest of the day.

Last night, I asked my boyfriend what he would like for breakfast. He thought for a minute and said, "An omelette."

Ask...and you shall receive!

I added sauteed garlic and onions, baby spinach, pickled jalapenos and tomatoes

I served a toast with a heart cut-out alongside the omelette.
I know...SO CHEESY :)

I'm excited about Valentine's Day dinner. Last year, I enjoyed making a steak dinner.

Photo taken last Valentine's Day.

This year I'm making steak again along with a few different dishes. I'm also moving dinner from the kitchen nook area to the actual dining area. I swear, we only use that area a few times a year!

What are your Valentine's Day plans?

I finished baking off my cheesecake squares yesterday. I used Neufchatel cheese instead of full fat cream cheese. I figure 1/3 less fat is getting somewhere. I only used one 8 oz package. The crust I had made a long time ago that I had frozen in the freezer (leftover from when I made individual cheesecake bites for a holiday party I was attending). Cheesecake is my boyfriend's absolute favorite.

Have a wonderful day. xoxo

I don't think the toast is cheesy at all. Love it. Happy Valentine's day to you and your boyfriend!

Running is a sort of physical activity which i always enjoy. It keeps me refreshed, boosts my energy level to do all the daily activities with 100%. And also it keeps me healthy and fit from body and soul.
