My favorite song of the moment to run to is Pitbull feat. Christina Aguilera "Feel the Moment."It's catchy and I'm a huge Xtina fan since the beginning of her career. Sure, she's a diva with questionable fashion choices but that girl can sing.
I ran 4.8 miles this morning even though I almost talked myself out of it. Almost.
Post-run, I was a sweaty mess but I stripped down (ooo-lala) to my sports bra and put on a pair of shorts for a quick Yoga session.
It was just what I needed to work out the kinks in my body. I turn to the Yoga play station on Spotify or Pandora to completely calm myself and focus.
Some people enjoy working out in groups or with friends. I'm more of a loner who likes her space. I get a better workout when I can speed up when I want and slow down when I want without worrying about other people. In the beginning, I was too self-conscious to workout with other people. Now, I'm just used to it.
Do you prefer to workout alone or in groups?
There seems to be an increase of walkers, joggers, runners, and bikers in my neighborhood in the morning. I enjoy greeting people as they pass. Some people smile back, Some people are too in the zone to notice.
Thank you for your lovely comments about yesterday's post. It was something that I felt slightly weary admitting out loud. The feeling of (self-imposed) pressure to get smaller and smaller is something I battle with occasionally.
I accidentally deleted Jewlz comment when I fat-fingered my iPhone this morning. I did read it though and I loved what you wrote! Thank you.
I hope everyone has a wonderful and productive day. I can't believe the Northeast is getting hit with another storm. Stay warm and safe. xoxo

I prefer working out alone as well. Gives me complete freedom - what kind of workout to choose, when and how long to work out and whether or not to take a break (today, a hot bath after work was what I needed, and I did not let anybody down).
I like Christina way better than Brittney and way less drama. :)
It's funny, I prefer working out with friends, but that's also how I started. I love it for exactly the reasons you don't like it. I love that there is pressure on me to stay with the group, even when I'd rather slow down (or speed up, particularly on long runs, when the group pacing is much better than what I'd do solo). I also like group boot camp since I'm not likely to fall into a rut or give myself too many easy exercises. I love the accountability and the social aspect of group exercise. My running buddies are some of my best friends -- technically, 2 of my 3 bridesmaids were running buddies! Different strokes for different folks!
I like both. I love to run on my own and just zone out or think about things that have been on my mind, dream up new ideas, or deal with stress. BUT I do have to say that running with friends/groups has pushed me to become a better runner. They help me to run a more structured run since I'm a crazy pace runner and push my speed when needed and hold me accountable if I'm being flaky. I think it's nice to have a good balance of both. You do awesome on your lonesome though!
Workout alone is very good idea to get the success, as for me you can try anything not worried about what others will say, also can avoid distractions as yoga is also called meditation, so silence is the key.
I enjoy working out with others, but I've never tried taking any yoga/zumba/dance classes/etc., so I'm not sure if they would do anything for me. My boyfriend and I work out together, and I enjoy that, and I used to workout with friends and roommates, but I am still apprehensive about being in a group with strangers. I am nervous about how I would compare to them I guess. Every year I consider taking kickboxing, or a salsa class, or trying zumba, but I never do in the end. I should probably make myself just to try it!
