No backsies!

Since I announced last night that I would be going for a run, I knew I didn't want to flake out.

I woke up early to stretch and do some pilates.

I made breakfast and packed my brother's lunch before running out for my 4.8 mile run.

Brother's lunch included rice topped with Korean marinated chicken, Kimchi, steamed green beans and an egg over-easy. I also packed 2 Cuties and 1 small cookie.

Breakfast was oat banana pancakes with shaved chocolate served with a side of fresh strawberries.
My brother and I are both super happy that it's strawberry season!

Ready for my morning run!

I'm looking forward to the cooler weather that's supposed to hit us by tomorrow. It's too soon to be this warm!

The 4.8 mile run wasn't the easiest by any means but I'm glad I got my first run of the year out of the way. I had to power walk a bit of it but I still finished in around 50 minutes.

I definitely noticed an increase of runners, joggers and bikers this morning. Everyone starts the year with health-related resolutions. Let's hope everyone can stick to it year round!

I love my post work-out glow!

I feel so much more relaxed when I'm consistently exercising. It's such a mood booster.

I'm hoping to do some yoga tonight as well as weighted-hula hooping while I watch Top Chef with my brother. I've missed a few episodes but I'm glad I don't miss RESTAURANT WARS tonight!

Team Kristen!

I am so jealous that you have such nice weather where you live so that you can run outside comfortably. I have to brave the snow and ice and hope that I don't slip and break my head!

You are so awesome about cooking. My lack of skills in the kitchen are sad.ha
Glad you didn't flake out on your run.

Yum! I wish my son would eat something different. It was peanut butter now it is bananans and crackers. He is very picky!

I need to catch up on Top Chef. Waiting for my little guy to go to bed so I can catch up while he naps.
