I like to move it! Move It! I like to move it! Move it!
Sometimes I have the oddest songs stuck in my head and right now the chorus from Madagascar 2 is stuck in my head. Seems like a great song to dance to (alone, of course).
It seems like Florida is still somewhere between Fall weather and Summer weather. The battle of these two seasons ends up a mish-mash of hot, humid afternoons sandwiched between cool mornings and nights. Slowly but surely, Florida will catch up to the rest of the country. I saw that earlier this week 31 states were below freezing? My friend in Denver gushed about how pretty snow was.
The weather this morning was foggy and cool. It was great running weather so I managed 8 miles around the neighborhood. I felt amazing and I was soaked with sweat by the end of it. I'm looking forward to the next few months of cooler weather. Running outdoors is so exhilarating.
Yesterday's physical activity consisted of 30 minutes of yoga, 30 minutes on the elliptical and tidying up the house. I also used my weighted hula-hoop while I watched the premiere of Gossip Girl (YAY). Team Chuck and Blair!
I bought canned pumpkin this weekend to use in a few recipes this week. I made pumpkin oat pancakes this morning. This afternoon, I'm going to make a curried pumpkin lentil curry. Something savory and something sweet.
Fall is all about the squashes and roasted vegetables! Browns, orange, yellow are such autumnal colors.
My brother carving pumpkins last year!
The pancakes were good but not post-worthy yet. Once the recipe is something I'm proud of, I'll be sure to post it!
With that, I leave you with an adorable picture of my sister's puppy (my niece!). She sent a mass-text with this photo of my niece after she went to the groomers.
I can't resist this face....
Have a wonderful (and productive) day everyone!
